2009 IN REVIEW.

The Christmas/New Year period is now over and I am packing two weeks worth of clothing into my suitcase for a trip to Queensland with my boyfriend and his family. The lack of posts can be blamed on one of two reasons.

1. Christmas and the New Year has been a hectic time and I feel like I haven't had much time to breathe and think let alone sit down and write a blog post.

2. My idiot brother kicked my computer and my hard drive is damaged so my computer won't boot up. (I made him lend me a hardrive for this post)

However that is not the point of my post. Before I go away I would like to look back at 2009 in a list of photos, displaying how the year was for me.

-New Years 08
At Nathaniel's Pakenham abode.

- 2009 raced ahead and brought with it Nathaniels 18th.
We dressed as Mulder and Scully.

-I began Tafe and Box Hill.

-Nat and I had our 4 year anniversary on the 29th of May.

-It was the year best friends were born.

- And a year for inspiration.

-New discoveries were made.

- Love was found.

-Fashion was key.

-And obsessions grew

But overall the year has been pretty good. It has been full of change and I haven''t come out un-scathed but I am slowly learning and becoming a better person as a result. The friendships and bonds I have formed this year will truly last me a lifetime and I am extremely thankful for that.

Holy Shit It's David Duchovny!

I was watching Sex and The City the other day when out of nowhere popped sexy Mulder, aka David Duchovny. He played Jeremy, Carrie's high school sweetheart. As any true X-Files fan would react, I almost had a heart attack. I then started yelling at Carrie to not be stupid and to go out with him again because he was "Sexy Mulder".

After his scene was over I immediately called Nat. Being my boyfriend and an X-Files fan too I knew he would go insane too. However he didn't quite react the way I hoped, I just seemed to be the insane one, almost hyperventilating over the phone.

I hung up and fixed my eyes to the screen. Unfortunately "Sexy Mulder" did not last longer than an episode. However If I were Carrie I would've kept him for as long as possible. Despite his "problems".

David Duchovny can be seen in the episode "Boy, Interrupted".

A Little Nuts

With Sex and The City on pause and my belly full you have my undivided attention. I've decided I must write a new blog post, and you must comment.

Coming up on Thursday I have a simulated gig with my band for Tafe. It is being assessed and video taped and we have to pick five songs and perform them in a gig atmosphere. Our five chosen songs are Superstition, Papa was a rollin' stone, Ain't no sunshine, Jonny B Goode and Gimme some lovin'. It should be great, but I'm kinda nervous and I really hate seeing myself played back on video.

As for the rest of my shit I have been over-eating way too often and buying a ridiculous amout of clothes even though I can't afford it. I spend all my youth allowence then once I'm broke I chip into my savings everytime I see a bargin I can't go past and can not let wait for a few extra weeks. It's terrible. Although the last bargin I got was great! I got two coats and each of them was twenty bucks. However I need to save.

I'm going on a weekend away with the box hill kids. We're all going up to Lorne to this huge farm and having a Jam and Booze weekend. This is the house: http://www.stayz.com.au/50243
It should be great, and will be good to get to know people that little bit better. Plus it will be great to get away from home.

I kinda went a little nuts the other night. I had a shit day and was feeling pretty moody. I got home and mum cooked roast chicken which we have non-stop and I didn't even feel like I could stomach it, so I didn't. Then afterwards refused to do the dishes because I didn't eat. So of course my parents had to put on the dramatics with the threats and my dad at one stage actually pulling the fuse on the electricity in my room. Looking back it was pretty hilarious.
The next day they were still mad at me and expected me to stay at home while they went out. But I went out to Nats as I has previously planned and slept over, to get away from them. It was great I brought an X-Files book at the market with the money Kay gave me (gotta love her), and I came back happy.

Also on Friday it's Nat and I's four year anniversary. I'm so excited. I've got him two great presents and I really hope he loves them. We're thinking about going to dinner the night of then I'll sleep at his place then we will go out the next day to see a play. I don't know what yet though. Nat is researching it.

As for my current obsessions, they include: Cupcakes, Sushi (Yes Nat converted me), Cosmopolitan Magazine, Wearing Nat's oversized tee's and Sex and The City (still).

That's about all from me now.
Stay sweet

My Favorite Things At The Moment.

A List of some of my favorite things at the moment in no particular order.

1. Sex and the City
I'm really becoming a big fan.
I have always wanted to get into it but never had the opportunity. But now thanks to Nats mum Kay and her Foxtel I'm becoming a fan.
It really is extremely girly and incredibly fun.
I can't wait until I can buy the complete box set :).

2.Hanna Beth.
She's a Scene Queen model.
Elissa and I have really taken a liking to her.
Her fashion style is great, and I end up wanting a lot of what she wears.
Along with my like for Hanna Beth I have brought a "Hanna Hat" which I have fallen in love with.

3. Audrey Kitching.
I admire her confidence, it takes a lot of guts to dye your hair bright pink!
She's photogenic and has dated Brendon Urie from Panic! At The Disco.

4. Hello Kitty.
Half because of my love for Japanese things,
and half because of my new Scene Queen fascination.

5. The X-Files.
As per usual it will always make the list.
I'm obsessed with Mulder and Scully and all 9 seasons and 2 movies.
Even though from season 8 it went downhill I will always love the show.

6. My new Sunnies.
My bargain at $10 in Frankston.
I'm in love with them.

7. Fairy Princess Incense.
It smells sooo good.
Even though my younger siblings don't appreciate incense and believe the house is burning down everytime I burn some.

8. Photoshop + Photoshop Actions.
I've recently downloaded Photoshop CS and some Photoshop Actions.
It's great the new ways I have been able to edit photos and create new things.
I love it.

9. Hey Monday.
Bek has gotten me into them and I'm liking their tracks.
They are brand new and are starting to be spread all over the radio.

10. Nose Rings.
I really want one.
Just a nice little dimonte stud on my nose.
Mind you I haven't suggested this to my parents.
I just want a change. It'd be nice along with a nice haircut. :)

Let me know what you think and what you like too. :)

Slacker!

I've been so lazy with the Internet lately.
Too busy rehearsing with my MIPS band, memerising lyrics and working on my Music Theory.
Box Hill Institute is fantastic! I've made friends and the 2 hour trip up there is well worth it.
I love it!

Anyway as promised here's David Duchovney and a few others.

Hope you love em!

I plan on doing one of David Duchovny soon, because I would not be a true X-Files fan If I didn't.
I'll keep you posted. :)

Please let me know what you think.

X-Files - Die John Doggett.

(warning potential spoilers)

Argh!
Where do I even begin? I'm so annoyed with the X-files right now, I never thought I'd say that. Yes I knew about Gillian Anderson and David Duchovnys falling out and I knew it would get crap at some point. But I never wanted it to be like this!

Mulder has completely disappeared after his abduction in Season 7 and Instead of it being resolved straight away in Season 8 I have to wait 13 episodes to see him again. It seems Scully has lost all hope of ever finding him and has just simply given up, along with agent John Doggett who was assigned to find him. John Doggett has now been assigned to the X-Files and he and Scully are continuing without Mulder.

I am annoyed that Scully who previosly had so much passion and determination for finding Mulder would just simply give up. She was so close to finding him, but she gave up. On top of that she gave Doggett Mulders desk to use. Now everytime one of them walks into the office in the basement there is no joy and light hearted cracks that Mulder brought to the X-Files, Instead there is one ugly son of a bitch in his place.

I want THIS!

NOT THIS!

I've never been this angry at the X-Files EVER! I actually turned off "Roadrunners" because Mulders name wasn't in the starting credits. And during "Patience" I wanted Doggett to be drowned and eaten by the batman. Even through all this I know I can't stand to give up. I have to watch the X-Files even though It hurts to watch Doggett in Mulders place. I'm a die hard fan girl and The X-Files is my drug.

I miss Mulder! When he comes back I will squeal so loud. I can't wait for that day. I guess I just have to have "Patience" even though it taunts me so much, with it's flashlight jokes and Scully trying to act like her beloved Mulder. Through all this I guess I just have to wait.
